adidas Originals has launched its latest collaboration with Palace, the London-based skateboard brand. After the success of their partnership last December, the launch of the 2017 Summer Collection has been highly anticipated by the especially after they shared a teaser on Instagram and adverts on London’s underground, adding to the hysteria of this collaborative collection.
Founded in 2010, Palace has since become one of the most in demand independent skateboard and streetwear brands of today. It has gained a strong celebrity and streetwear enthusiast based audience due to its authenticity and down-to-earth spirit.
Named “Other Sportswear Is A Myth”, the collection takes things back to the early days of the skateboard brand. Palace’s aesthetic returns on a number of iconic adidas silhouettes, including a French terry track pant in blue, two archive inspired short sleeve t-shirts and a long sleeve t-shirt. Shoppers will also find a pullover, a hooded jacket and a pair of track shorts in this summer collection.
All in all, what can be seen in the line up are the usual sportswear classics, the range consists of nine to eleven pieces, most of them apparel. The surprise factor, though, it is a bathrobe featuring signature Palace and Adidas branding.
In addition to the apparel items, the collection stretches to footwear too. A new version of Palace indoor sneaker, inspired by the adidas archive footwear colourways, features a gum sole, premium suede upper, Gazelle indoor tooling and Boost technology. They are available in bold blue, solar yellow and molten metallic and feature the iconic 3-stripes style that is synonymous to adidas.
When will the collaboration be available to buy?
The collaboration debuted on June 16th through select Palace retailers.
