Swedish fashion house, J.Lindeberg has announced a limited edition golf collection to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Since 1997, J.Lindeberg has combined fashion and sport. The brand has worked to challenge conservative golfers, inspiring them to dress more progressively, leaving a definitive sartorial shift.
In 1996, Johan Lindeberg embarked on a golfing holiday which later inspired him to create his brand. As the only ‘Rock n’ Roll’ golfer, he decided that he needed to create a new progressive lifestyle brand, combining his Rock inspired fashion sense with golf. Since then, he has inspired golfers to wear fitted clothes, technical fabrics, logo belts, and other modern garments and accessories.
Revisiting iconic pieces from the J.Lindeberg archive, the anniversary collection includes modern fit, styling and fabrics. The collection shows an evolution of style and quality over the past two decades, whilst still maintaining a golf wear aesthetic.
Styles range from best-selling pants in black and white and classic polos in technical fabrics, to lightweight knitwear and the mock-neck compression top. The ‘Rock n’ Roll’ look that initially inspired Johan, is seen through the chunky belt buckle and tight fitting long-sleeve t-shirt.
Using a tight and conceptual colour story, J.Lindeberg has stuck to only four block colours throughout the range; black and white with more seasonal red’s – sporty racing red and a darker burgundy red to balance.
All of the knitwear is made with fine merino wool, and woven in the intarsia knitting process to create a cleaner classic argyle pattern.
Proportions of collar width, shoulder panels and sleeve lengths have been adjusted. The collection plays with the J.Lindeberg Bridge logo and includes only best quality fabrics.
Professional golfer Camilo Villegas fronts the 20th Anniversary Campaign. The bold and masculine images show that golfing and the J.Lindeberg brand are intertwined. Golfing is a way of life, and those who choose the golfing lifestyle will wear the brand, just as Villegas does.
When will the collaboration be available to buy?
