Maison & Objet Paris present their January 2017 show concept, Silence, embracing Trendstop’s Fall/Winter 2016-17 womenswear forecast theme, Quiet Comfort.
Trendstop has been exploring the trend for escapism and the concept of a quieter existence over the past few seasons. In our Fall/Winter 2016-17 forecast theme, Quiet Comfort, the hectic speed of modern city life is put on pause, allowing us to take a step back from our always-on, digital lifestyles.
Texture is key, featuring soft yarns and cosy knitwear, while shapes come in relaxed, unstructured forms. Neutral colours underline a laidback mood across lounge inspired daywear and accessories, enhanced by subtle detailing and layered styling. In the home, spaces become a haven of calm through quietly comfortable products that allow you to escape and unwind.
