London Collections Men staged its Fall/Winter 2016-17 edition this week, celebrating a wealth of established and emerging British design talent. This season, LCM’s Designer Showrooms exhibition was located at Victoria House in Bloomsbury, presenting fashion professionals with the very best in contemporary men’s fashion and accessories in an inspirational curated space. Here are some of the Trendstop team’s F/W16-17 highlights:
Utilising their mixed backgrounds in fashion, media design and visual arts, the trio behind Portuguese brand K L A R continue their conceptual approach for Fall/Winter, creating highly innovative pieces fashioned from sustainably sourced and repurposed materials. Leather bomber jackets and plush sweatshirts come with spray-painted graphics, giving every piece a unique look. Black Eyewear designer Robert Roope drew on his love of jazz for his latest range. Referencing the jazz legends of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, icons of the genre like Miles Davis, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington work as the inspiration behind this contemporary take on iconic vintage eyewear.
