Canadian footwear brand Native Shoes has teamed up with Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please diffusion line on a brand new summer sneaker collection. This range marks the fourth installment of the collaboration between the two brands, focusing on lightweight shoe designs made 100% animal free. Offering a contemporary revision of the classic moccasin sneaker, the shoe is modeled around Native’s latest silhouette, named the Apollo Moc. Colourways include light grey, mustard, persimmon, dark grey and navy, inspired by the Pleats Please Issey Miyake Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection, while the design was crafted using Native’s advanced foam-injection moulding and 3D-printing methods. As a result, styles are shock-absorbent, odour-resistant and even waterproof, as well as washable.
The new Pleats Please Issey Miyake x Native Shoes collection is available to buy now from selected Issey Miyake stores in New York, London, Paris, Japan and Zurich.
