Cosmetics brand L’Oreal Paris has introduced a special-edition cosmetics range to celebrate the 68th edition of the annual Cannes Film Festival. As the official sponsor of the star-studded film event, which will take place from 13-24 May, L’Oréal’s L’Or Pin-Up collection is inspired by the film industry’s iconic pin-up girl. Paying homage to Hollywood starlet Marilyn Monroe, products create a mood of glamour, femininity and seduction with a modern-day twist.
Key pieces include Superstar mascara, formulated to add intensity and volume to lashes, two new shades of the Color Riche L’Ombre Pure eye shadow and the Super Liner Superstar eyeliner. For a shimmering pout, add a slick of Color Riche Extraordinaire lip gloss in Fuschia Drama, or try Color Riche in Rose Tendre and Carmin Saint-Germain for a more subtle statement. Red carpet beauty looks can be completed with a golden manicure or a pop of vibrant colour using one of the Color Riche nail polishes.
“The ‘Neo Pin-Up Girl’ has lashes coated in mascara. She plays up her gaze, bats her lashes, seduces and captivates,” explains L’Oréal Paris makeup artist Karim Rahman.
