British fashion retail brands TOPSHOP TOPMAN continue to bolster their strong presence in the US market with the launch of a brand new, exclusive capsule collection for eight of their Nordstrom stores. Launching today, this edition of the BRIT POP-IN@Nordstrom series celebrates the rich heritage of British music with a particular nod to the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s.
Reinterpreting concepts of British retro, mod & rock, the womenswear range for Topshop features menswear inspired pieces including graphic tees, flared jeans, A-line skirts, racer stripe sweats and stacked heels.
“Topshop is excited to create this special collection exclusively for Nordstrom. The BRIT POP-IN is focused on Brit classics that have everlasting style” comments TOPSHOP Creative Director, Kate Phelan.
For the menswear counterpart Topman took inspiration from the UK’s vibrant rock & roll history with a collection including knitted polo shirts (think Jarvis Cocker during the Brit Pop Pulp years), to tailored houndstooth and striped blazers named after iconic British bands such as Blur.
The homage continues through the design of the shop installations with the brands turning to celebrated Art Director Dean Langley to capture the essence of the swinging 60’s and Mod fuelled 70’s. Checkerboard flooring and re-imagined look book images as gig posters set the scene for a modern nostalgic shopping experience.
The BRIT POP-IN@Nordstrom x TOPSHOP TOPMAN collection will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom.com/pop and in eight Pop-In@Nordstrom locations – Seattle, WA; Bellevue Square, WA; NorthPark Center, TX; San Francisco Center, CA; Tysons.
