Photographer Profile – Per Zennström

Discover the inspiring work of Per Zennström, one of Trendstop’s favourite fashion photographers on the scene.

Per Zennström is a contemporary photographer and filmmaker who creates work at the intersection of photography, style, pop culture, new media, technology, as well as the space where these concepts meet, mix and match with business.

After studying photography at Göteborg University and assisting high-profile photographers like Steven Meisel in New York, Per moved to Paris, where he spent 13 years shooting assignments for big clients like Dior, Guy Laroche and Nina Ricci. Now located in Berlin, he has become known for a unique photographic style that combines chic with a sombre undercurrent, where classic fashion photography is given a twist for a new edge.

The images shown here are taken from Per’s commission for luxury label Stephan Boya’s Dive into Softness collection, which explores the emotional, tactile and sensual aspects of cashmere, the world’s most luxurious material. Visual inspiration for the shoot was taken from the nostalgic effect of old Polaroid pictures.
