In this week’s Trendspiration, we’re looking to the work of Copenhagen-born, Berlin-based artist Jeppe Hein, who creates minimal conceptual pieces that people can often interact with. Among his extensive repertoire, we were particularly drawn to Jeppe’s mirrored sculptures, which the artist has experimented with over the last few years. Using reflective surfaces, viewers experience the design whilst looking at themselves, making for an intriguing interplay on the relationship between art and the self. Highlights include the 7-Dimensional Mirror Mobile, a Mirror Canvas and the Fragmented Mirror Angle. Additionally, 2014 saw Jeppe create Are You Really Here, a mirrored piece that’s mounted on the wall complete with built-in neon lettering.

We’ll be back soon with another fresh dose of Trendspiration – stay tuned!
