Fusing the worlds of fashion and fine art, Opening Ceremony’s latest collection is sure to inspire with a homage to iconic Surrealist artist René Magritte. The first range to come out of the brand’s Year of Belgium campaign, these poetic yet humorous designs celebrate 12 pieces from the artist’s life work – which was always fuelled by Magritte’s desire to make “everyday objects shriek aloud.” The limited-edition range is completed with three footwear lines made in collaboration with labels Birkenstock, Manolo Blahnik and Vans, offering a shoe to suit every occasion. Some of our highlights include the pearl-embroidered bomber made in the image of Magritte’s Shéhérazade painting, as well as The Lovers open-toe Birkenstock.
