David Hellqvist is Styled for oki-ni

For this week’s Menswear Monday feature, we’re taking inspiration from the latest instalment in retail brand oki-ni’s Styled series, which stars PORT Magazine’s online editor David Hellqvist. Titled ‘Techno Tailor Soldier Spy,’ the shoot encapsulates a conscious mishmash of styles, fusing formal tailoring with technical sportswear.

“Life isn’t black or white; it’s gray. People who try and live by one idea alone, stubbornly refusing to compromise, tend to be uninspired,” says Hellqvist. “Techno Tailoring is about mixing sporty details with smart looks, about accessorizing clever streetwear with well-made and qualitative bits of Savile Row aesthetic.”

Key designs include the Nike Gyakusou Dri-Fit Short-Sleeve tee (£72/$110), the Jil Sander Ari Sports Shorts (£370/$563) and the Norse Projects Five Panel Oxford Cotton Cap (£50/$76). All pieces featured in the ‘Techno Tailor Soldier Spy’ Styled editorial are available to buy now on the oki-ni online store.
