High-street giant H&M unveils their latest retail brand Arket

H&M, the fast-fashion and one of the most popular high-street brands on the market is set to launch a new retail brand named Arket. Arket will join H&M’s existing retail brands such as &Other Stories, COS, Weekday, Monki and Cheap Monday.

The stores concept is to create a “modern day market” within high-street surroundings. The name of the brand Arket means ‘sheet of paper’ in Swedish and the whole inspiration behind the brand is surrounded by this idea, showing that this is a fresh and innovative shop concept that will be like no other.

It will offer a fresh range of the brands own products for women, men, children home and lifestyle alongside an assortment of products from non- H&M brands.

Arket has worked particularly closely with producers to select and develop materials and products that enable the brand to offer customers top-level quality and long-lasting products at a reasonable price.

Adopting current experiential retail trends Arket is implementing cafes in stores where location permits to adapt to the stores lifestyle approach. The café will be based around the style of a New Nordic Kitchen that promotes healthy living and top quality food.

The products will be priced moderately higher than H&M’s core brand, with men’s t-shirts beginning at £33 and reaching to £98. Ulrika Bernhardtz, Arket’s creative director said “We really believe it’s relevant to a modern customer to bring different brands together- under one roof, under one channel- and to make that choice for them and also make it more convenient” .

The brand will launch its first flagship store in London’s Regent Street in early Fall 2017 with an aim to reach Europe and eventually will be international.
