To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Harper’s Bazaar the magazine is taking over the Empire State Building in New York with a projection show to represent 150 years of the magazine.
The projection show will feature exactly 150 cover images from over the magazines history, each one representing another year in the magazine success. Iconic covers that featured the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss to name a few, all photographed by giants within the industry such as Patrick Demarchelier, Terry Richardson and Toni Frissell.
Using the Empire State Building as the canvas, these giant projections will engulf the skyline of New York from 8:30pm to midnight. The projection display will be presented by the editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Glenda Bailey.
This impactful display on the New York skyline will show the magazines importance within the industry, reinstating its presence as one of the most iconic women’s fashion magazines within history.
It has also been announcement that the model Kendall Jenner is the cover star of the 150th anniversary cover of Harper’s Bazaar. She is styled in a way that is reminiscent of the iconic screen star Elizabeth Taylor, creating a blend of both the old and the new into the one cover.
