Trendstop’s footwear specialists have been scouting new talent and emerging concepts at the Fall 2017 Premium Trade Show in Berlin.
Although Berlin generally favours a cleaner, minimal aesthetic when displaying sports footwear, this season has a definite influx of retro sportswear. With brands showcasing their heritage and returning to prominence, by reissuing classic styles or young brands riffing off iconic sports looks.
Diadora’s collection took a step back into their archive. The stand celebrated the iconic designs of a particular year in the brand’s history (in this case 1981) with reissued heritage silhouettes and constructions in new colour-ways and fabrications. The concrete backdrop creates the perfect industrial yet minimal setting, a display and photo shoot trend that is growing in popularity.
