Margherita Missoni, heiress to the Missoni fashion house, has revealed plans to launch a new childrenswear collection for the Spring/Summer 2015 season. Named ‘Margherita,’ the kidswear line will go on sale in March at online retailers Yoox and Nordstrom, featuring boyswear from infancy to two years old, and girlswear up to seven years old. A smiling daisy has been adopted as the brand’s logo, inspired by the English translation of Margherita’s name. As a mother of one, with another on the way, Margherita Missoni’s move into childrenswear was partly inspired by her young son Otto, who regularly features on her Instagram account wearing stylish outfits with the famous Missoni zigzag print and colourful patterns. Margherita will also host a special event in partnership with Yoox to celebrate the launch during Paris Fashion Week on March 6.
