MadLab’s 3D-Printed Fashion Accessories

Bridging the gap between fashion and technology, design collective MadLab have devised an innovative yet beautiful new accessories collection called Reverberating Across the Divide. The twist? Each unique style has been entirely crafted using 3D technology, following a three-phase workflow of 3D scanning, 3D modeling and 3D printing. The process allows for the incorporation of intricate digital geometries around pre-existing physical contexts, fusing aesthetics of virtual and physical design. Described by MadLab’s self-coined term chronomorphology, the skeletal collars and bracelets come to life through an interface which draws accessories around a 3D model, creating the intricate jewelry links through the path taken by the program. The result is delicate yet futuristic – a real work of 21st century art.
