As much as everyone loves seeing new campaigns by their favorite brands, sometimes they have the tendency to get a little samey after a while … a trend Italian label Trussardi are keen to buck with their Spring/Summer 2014 series, shot by William Wegman. While the models have the glossy hair, slim figures and large eyes of other models seen world over, there’s a key difference to this campaign – each shot stars an uber-stylish greyhound. Dressed to the (ca)nines in chic designs from the brand’s latest collection, these pooches have some definite panache in pieces like a red snakeskin bomber, supple blue leather jacket or a reptilian blazer in chocolate. Trussardi uses a greyhound as its mascot, hence the slightly unusual casting decision.
“I dedicate this project to the greyhounds of Trussardi. Mysteriously calm, wonderfully photogenic, and most of all, incredibly elegant,” says Wegman.
