GFW Highlight: Dunia Al-Baghdadi

It’s Graduate Fashion Week! With so much to do, see and snap, we’ve enlisted a group of promising young students from Italy’s Polimoda Fashion School to help us capture the highlights at Earls Court.

Yesterday, the students were close to the action on the UCA Epsom catwalk, where one designer in particular stood out with her luxurious collection of elegant womenswear pieces. Dunia Al-Baghdadi mixed soldierly camou with ethnic references for sophisticated yet contemporary results, as military shapes were dissected and reassembled with Indian fabric panels, silky fringe and sparkling sequin embellishments. Best of all, each model came equipped with a pair of delicate heels featuring ankle straps groaning with ornate decoration, ready to take on the eveningwear battlefield.
