It’s been a great week for stellar British talent, as LCM continues to wow the fashion world with Fall offerings from a range of the nation’s best homegrown designers. But while all eyes are on the menswear collections, let’s not forget the current wave of emerging women’s styles either – not least the revelation of the debut Pre-Fall collection from Scottish designer Christopher Kane. Inspired by iconic Hammer horror films, pieces are suitably dark and gothic, finished with textures of velvet, silk and leather. Customary inky black aside, royal blue tones color sheer paneled dresses and soft bomber jackets, while prints add interest in jaguar skin and fluro florals. Our favorite piece? It has to be the dual color quilted coat, adding a moody resonance to the season in hues of midnight and deep violet.
