Andrej Pejic Channels Warhol’s Factory Girls in Du Jour Magazine

With fashion currently taking cues from all things ‘60s-inspired, we’re loving the new editorial in Du Jour, featuring androgynous model Andrej Pejic channelling Warhol and his Factory girls, shot by Tony Kim. The shoot is inspired by NARS’ new Andy Warhol makeup collection, and shows Pejic styled as Edie Sedgwick, Candy Darling, Nico and Andy himself in turn.

Former Factory regular Glenn O’Brien also wrote an introduction: “Andy would have taken one look at Andrej and said, “What a beauty? Isn’t he a real beauty? We should make a movie. Would you like to be in a movie? I think you’d be so great.”

Bosnian-born Andrej has made a name for himself as a gender-bending model, having proven himself more than capable of pulling off both male and female looks; he has walked both the men’s and women’s Jean-Paul Gaultier shows in the past, as well as the Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2011 men’s show.
