Bodyscapes artist, Allan Teger, is set to launch a major book of his work this September. Bodyscapes are not digital composites or double exposures. The artist places a small toy or miniature directly on the body, using the nude as a landscape, and photographs them together in a single exposure. The ‘Bodyscapes’ allow for the viewer to view the beauty of the human figure with an appreciation of form, while incorporating humor.
“I’m glad that my work is humorous – it’s not only fun to look at, but it also takes the edge off the nudity – making the nudity much more accessible for many people who would otherwise not be comfortable with it.” The artist explains.
Allan Teger will also be having a Solo show of his work at Sin City Gallery in Las Vegas in January and February of 2013.
