Whilst the spectacle of a couture catwalk show can never be denied, sometimes it’s refreshing to see the clothes backstage. The models are always considerably more relaxed and natural, depicted having fun in their clothes it is easy to imagine how the designs will translate to everyday. Delicate and elegant shades of taupe, peach, caramel and cream were accessorised with oversized wooden bangles, tan envelope clutches and pointed-toe courts with unexpected, clear undulating heels. Ultra feminine, and with nods to Fifties styling, womanly silhouettes recall the Fall Winter 2010 preoccupations of Prada and Marc Jacobs. This weekend we’ll be catching up on all those episodes of Mad Men we missed, purely for research you understand.
